Disease Investigation & Post-Mortem

When something’s not quite right — whether it’s poor growth, sudden deaths, a drop in fertility or just that gut feeling that things aren’t going as they should — we believe it’s worth taking a closer look. Disease investigation isn’t about pointing fingers or chasing rare diagnoses. It’s about working together to understand what’s going on and how we can stop it happening again.

That might mean doing a post-mortem on a lamb that didn’t make it, taking samples from a sick ewe, or reviewing recent treatments and losses. We’re happy to carry out on-farm post-mortems where appropriate, or help get samples off to the right labs quickly and efficiently. Often, getting a diagnosis (or at least ruling things out) helps avoid further losses and guides better decisions going forward.

We know that disease outbreaks can be stressful and costly, but we also see them as a chance to improve systems and build a more resilient flock in the long run. We’re here to help figure it out — calmly, practically, and without making a fuss.
